Job description

Contract Website Manager - Boulder, CO
SumUp is a global financial technology company that helps businesses of all sizes accept payments and manage their business both in-store and online. We support millions of merchants globally across dozens of markets, and we're building a world where everyone can build a thriving business.
We're looking for a part-time, hands-on Website Manager to support our US Growth & Marketing team. You'll be the person who actually ships: publishing updates, keeping the site healthy, and implementing technical SEO requirements in Contentful and Builder.io.
US Boulder, CO In-office (ET overlap preferred)
Part-time (hourly)
Who you are
You're a website operator who's familiar with keeping a website updated and accurate. You're detail-obsessed in the best way, you don't "ship and pray," and you're comfortable working in a scrappy environment where priorities shift and the work is highly cross-functional.
You don't need to be an engineer, but you do need to be technical enough to understand how CMS-driven sites behave, follow a structured QA process, and partner cleanly with designers and marketers.
What you'll do
  • Publish, update, and maintain pages in Contentful and Builder.io (new pages, refreshes, page swaps, component updates)
  • Implement technical SEO updates as part of publishing, including heading structure (H1/H2), metadata, alt text, and internal linking
  • QA changes before and after launch: responsive checks, link checks, formatting/layout checks, and basic accessibility hygiene
  • Troubleshoot CMS publishing issues
  • Support ongoing website workstreams like Builder adoption/migration by executing the "last mile" implementation work
  • Maintain a lightweight backlog of site fixes and improvements (broken links, outdated copy swaps, missing metadata, etc.)
  • Keep simple documentation/checklists so publishing and SEO execution stays consistent and scalable

You'll be great for this role if you have
  • 2-4 years of experience publishing/managing websites (in-house, agency, or freelance)
  • Hands-on Contentful experience (strongly preferred)
  • Hands-on Builder.io experience (preferred), or proven experience picking up a similar CMS/page builder quickly
  • Practical technical SEO implementation experience (you've set metadata, fixed header hierarchy, improved internal linking, written alt text, etc.)
  • Strong production instincts: accuracy, speed, file/content hygiene, and a reliable QA process
  • Comfort collaborating with Marketing and Design stakeholders

Nice to have
  • Basic HTML/CSS literacy (enough to understand what's happening and communicate clearly)
  • Familiarity with Core Web Vitals/performance basics (image weight, page speed hygiene)
  • Familiarity with evolving search trends, including AI-driven and answer-based search experiences
  • Experience supporting a CMS migration or large site refresh
  • Experience working in multi-locale environments or with localization workflows

Benefits & more
  • A global team with a scrappy, high-ownership culture
  • A fast-moving marketing team where your work will ship, not sit in a queue
  • Visible impact: your work directly improves site quality, speed to market, and organic performance

Compensation
Hourly pay range: $25-$30/hour (based on experience), not to exceed 20 hours per week
