Job description

Job Tittle: Part time Psychiatrist
Location: Orient,43146,OH
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Duration: Minimum 3 Months (Possible Extension)
Hours: 20-32 hrs./wk
Job Overview
We are seeking a licensed Psychiatrist to provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment services. The Psychiatrist will be responsible for assessing patient mental health conditions, prescribing medications, providing psychotherapy, and collaborating with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Care
•    Conduct psychiatric evaluations, assessments, and diagnoses.
•    Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
•    Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications.
•    Provide psychotherapy, counseling, and behavioral health interventions.
•    Conduct individual and group therapy sessions.
•    Perform risk assessments including suicide risk evaluations.
Psychological & Forensic Evaluations
•    Conduct psychological and neuropsychological evaluations.
•    Administer, score, and interpret psychological tests.
•    Evaluate competency, mental status, and other forensic assessments when required.
•    Prepare comprehensive evaluation reports and treatment recommendations.
Treatment Planning & Patient Support
•    Monitor treatment progress and provide follow-up care.
•    Document patient encounters, progress notes, and treatment outcomes.
•    Provide counseling on issues such as trauma, substance abuse, grief, impulse control, and interpersonal challenges.
•    Assist patients in developing coping strategies and behavioral improvement plans.
Collaboration & Leadership
•    Work collaboratively with medical, nursing, and mental health staff.
•    Review patient records to ensure accuracy and completeness.
•    Participate in treatment team meetings and case discussions.
•    Provide guidance and consultation to healthcare staff regarding psychiatric care.
Administrative Duties
•    Prepare reports, discharge summaries, and behavioral progress documentation.
•    Participate in program development and quality improvement initiatives.
•    Provide expert testimony or reports when required.
Required Qualifications
•    Doctoral Degree (MD or DO) in Psychiatry
•    Active Ohio Medical License
•    DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration) Certification
•    Healthcare Provider Level CPR Certification
•    COVID Vaccination Card or Exemption Letter
•    DEA Certification
