Staff Assistant, Football Technology & Support
Department: Football Technology & SupportDirect Supervisor: Director, Football Technology & SupportStatus: Hourly
Summary:
The Staff Assistant, Football Technology & Support is responsible for supporting day-to-day IT operations for the players, coaches and staff. They will assist with troubleshooting, system maintenance and other services required for operation. This role is ideal for candidates with a strong technical foundation who thrive in fast-paced, team-oriented environments.
Location:
  • This is a part-time/hourly position based on-site at the Miami Dolphins Training Facility (Miami Gardens).
  • Note: This role typically requires 40+ hours per week, including weekends - primarily during football season.

Responsibilities:
  • Deliver day-to-day technical support for hardware, software, and internal technology systems across the football operation
  • Assist with the installation, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of football technology platforms, devices, and related equipment
  • Provide support for Active Directory, Windows operating systems, and foundational networking functions
  • Apply working knowledge of networking concepts including DHCP, DNS, VPN connectivity, and related technologies
  • Troubleshoot and support a variety of applications and software platforms, including Microsoft 365, CrowdStrike, Adobe products, VPN clients, internet browsers, and other business applications
  • Support device inventory management, asset tracking, and mobile device management (MDM) solutions for laptops, tablets, and other technology assets
  • Partner with vendors and internal departments to deploy, test, maintain, and enhance football-related technology solutions and systems

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience in IT support, systems administration, or a related technical environment
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Excellent troubleshooting, analytical
  • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion
  • Ability to lift, move, pack, and unpack equipment and systems weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Willingness to work extended hours, including holidays and weekends
