OVERVIEW
The Los Angeles Football Club (LAFC) is an MLS soccer club serving the greater Los Angeles area. LAFC is dedicated to building a world-class soccer club that represents the diversity of Los Angeles and is committed to delivering an unrivaled experience for fans. LAFC's ownership group is comprised of local leaders and innovators of industry with intellectual capital, financial prowess, operations expertise, and success in the fields of entertainment, sports, technology, and media. LAFC is invested in the world's game and Los Angeles, constructing, and developing the 22,000 seat BMO Stadium and a top-flight training center on the campus of Cal-State Los Angeles.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Head Video Analyst is responsible for recording and analyzing video footage of all first team training sessions and matches. Thus, this person will collaborate closely with the first team coaching and technical staff to further performance results on and off the field.
Additionally, this role is integral as it will oversee the advancement of the Club's video analysis standards, ensuring that it's line with ongoing technological developments. Furthermore, this role will also have oversight and manage the Club's video analysts across all levels (LAFC 2 and Academy) providing mentorship and guidance.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Film and manage video recording of all first team training sessions and games.
  • Prepare, produce, and share all first team training sessions and games with applicable technical staff.
  • Analyze video footage and prepare recap notes.
  • Assist coaching staff in scouting opponents for upcoming matches.
  • Organize and facilitate individual training and game clips for all first team players.
  • Manage and organize team platform for uploading and sharing videos and clips.
  • Manage and oversee the development and continuous training of video analysts across all levels of the club.
  • Stay informed on ongoing technological developments to ensure the club's video analysis standards are up to par with recent innovations.
  • Other duties as directed by the coaching and technical staff.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited College/ University in a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience with a professional sports team or related position required.
  • Experience with data analysis tools such as Statsbomb IQ, Impect, Sportscode, and HUDL Platform.
  • Experience operating a drone proficiently.
  • Experience adding animation to video.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Must be a team player who thrives in a collaborative work environment.
  • Ability to work productively and multi-task in an unstructured fast paced environment with frequent interruptions and tight deadlines.
  • Ability to handle highly sensitive and confidential information.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently in English - both verbal and written.
  • Flexible work schedule with the ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as the event calendar requires.
  • Must be able to obtain or have a valid and current U.S. passport and travel with team as needed.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.

SALARY RANGE
At LAFC, we carefully consider a wide range of factors to determine a fair and equitable compensation package. The final offer amount will consider a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to skill sets; relevant experience and training. Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure guidelines, the compensation range for this role is $100,000 - $120,000 per year.
