JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Hours: Monday-Friday 10:30a-2:30p

  • Prepare and serve smoothies, sandwiches, snacks, and other cafe menu items according to established recipes and food safety standards

  • Operate the POS system, process customer transactions, and maintain accurate cash handling procedures

  • Assist customers in a friendly and professional manner while providing menu information and recommendations

  • Restock food, beverages, condiments, supplies, and retail displays throughout the shift

  • Monitor product quality, rotate inventory using FIFO practices, and remove expired items

  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, equipment, dining areas, and service counters

  • Support lunch rush and other peak service periods by working efficiently and assisting where needed

  • Follow departmental safety, sanitation, infection prevention, and HACCP standards

  • Perform other duties as assigned to support cafe operations

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods

  • Ability to lift, carry, and stock food products and supplies

  • Ability to bend, reach, push, and pull carts or equipment as needed

  • Ability to work in a busy retail food service environment

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • No directly related experience

Preferred:
  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Previous customer service, cashier, retail, cafe, restaurant, or food service experience
