Job Title: Commercial Floor Care Technician
Location: Indianapolis, IN and surrounding areas
Job Type: Full-time / Part-time
Shifts: 2nd Shift, 3rd Shift, and Weekends (Flexibility is required)
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced, reliable, and detail-oriented Floor Care Technician to join our team. This role is responsible for maintaining, cleaning, and restoring various flooring surfaces across commercial facilities in Indianapolis and neighboring communities.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter who takes pride in their work, possesses strong technical knowledge of floor-care equipment, and is highly adaptable to changing schedules and shift times.

Equipment Mastery: Proven, hands-on experience safely operating industrial floor care machinery.
Valid Driver's License: Must hold a clean, active driver's license.
Reliable Transportation: Must have dependable, personal transportation to travel between various job sites across Indianapolis and surrounding areas.
Open Availability: Total flexibility to work 2nd shift, 3rd shift (overnights), and weekends based on project schedules.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
Perform specialized floor care procedures including stripping, waxing, buffing, burnishing, and polishing hard surfaces (VCT, sheet vinyl, ceramic tile, concrete).
Execute deep carpet cleaning, hot-water extraction, and specialized spot treatments.
Safely operate, maintain, and clean commercial-grade power equipment (including auto-scrubbers, high-speed buffers, burnishers, and carpet extractors).
Properly measure, mix, and apply floor stripping and finish chemical solutions according to manufacturer guidelines and safety standards.
Set up proper safety signage ("Wet Floor" signs, barricades) to secure the work zone and protect building occupants.
Maintain accurate project logs and transport waste/debris to designated disposal areas.
Perform general janitorial and specialty cleaning projects as assigned by the supervisor.
Skills & Physical Requirements
Experience: 1+ years of professional commercial floor care or janitorial special project experience preferred.
Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, bend, crouch, and kneel for up to 8 hours per day. Must be able to independently lift/carry up to 50 lbs and push/pull wheeled equipment weighing up to 100 lbs.
Chemical Safety: Knowledge of standard safety practices regarding institutional cleaning chemicals (OSHA/SDS guidelines).
Independence: Ability to work efficiently with minimal direct supervision while maintaining high quality standards.
