JOB SUMMARY
Serve as a representative of management and customer service at Lerner Theatre events and shows, ensuring that all customers of The Lerner Theatre receive an exemplary experience.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Serve as a floor manager at scheduled events and shows
  • Assist part-time staff and Lerner Volunteers in their representation of the Lerner Theatre during events and shows
  • Assist patrons as needed to ensure an exemplary customer experience
  • Assist in pre-show set-up and post-show clean-up
  • Strong crisis management/life safety and decision-making abilities
  • Provide feedback to Lerner Management on concerns, issues, etc. during and post-show events and shows for resolution.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Works shows driven by theatre schedule
  • Flexibility in weekend and night availability
  • Remains flexible to take part in other duties and be a team player
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Graduate of accredited high school
  • Customer Service experience a necessity
  • First Aid experience preferred
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Ability to lead and direct in high stress situations
  • Ability to work under stress and fast paced environment
  • Ability to handle concerns of general public courteously and efficiently
  • Ability to read and understand seating charts and facility maps

  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure
  • Vision clarity with or without corrective lenses to see adequately in limited lighting
WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Fast-paced theatre and office environment that requires interaction with other staff, building partners and promoters

POST OFFER TESTING REQUIREMENTS
  • The City of Elkhart is a Drug Free Workplace. Therefore, successfully passing a post offer drug screen is required (random drug testing may be conducted after employment).
