Position Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic, customer-focused Ski & Snowboard Simulator Coaches to deliver engaging and effective training experiences using our SkyTech Sport Simulator. This role combines instruction, customer service, and sports performance coaching to help guests of all ages and ability levels improve their skiing and snowboarding skills in a safe, fun, and technology-driven environment.
Whether working with first-time riders, recreational enthusiasts, or experienced athletes, our coaches create a welcoming atmosphere while guiding guests through structured simulator training programs focused on balance, edging, pressure control, movement patterns, and overall snow sports performance.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Experience & Coaching
Deliver professional ski and snowboard simulator instruction to guests of all ages and skill levels.
Create a positive, encouraging, and supportive learning environment for every participant.
Assess guest experience levels, athletic backgrounds, and learning goals before each session.
Customize instruction based on individual needs, abilities, and objectives.
Build confidence while helping guests develop proper technique and body awareness.
Provide clear demonstrations, coaching cues, and constructive feedback throughout each session.
Encourage repeat participation and progression through advanced simulator training programs.
Simulator Training Instruction
Guide guests through a structured training progression that includes:
Warm-up and movement preparation
Edge control and tilt management
Pressure control and weight distribution
Dynamic balance development
Progressive simulator drills using handrail support and hands-free riding
Skill progression for beginner through advanced riders
Safety & Equipment Operations
Safety is the highest priority for all simulator sessions.
Responsibilities include:
Performing pre-session simulator inspections and safety checks.
Verifying proper operation of:
Guide rails and carriage systems
Skis and snowboard mounting systems
Remote emergency stop functions
Edge-angle sensors
Platform resistance settings
Ensuring guests understand safety procedures before participation.
Monitoring guest fatigue and enforcing session and break guidelines.
Maintaining a clean, organized, and professional simulator environment.
Qualifications
Required
Strong skiing and/or snowboarding experience.
Passion for teaching, coaching, and helping others improve.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work with children, teens, adults, and athletes of varying abilities.
Strong focus on safety and customer experience.
Ability to stand, demonstrate movements, and actively coach throughout multiple training sessions.
Preferred
PSIA (Professional Ski Instructors of America) Certification.
AASI (American Association of Snowboard Instructors) Certification.
Previous experience as a ski instructor, snowboard instructor, coach, trainer, or educator.
Experience working in sports performance, fitness, recreation, or customer-facing environments.
Familiarity with simulator-based training or sports technology platforms.
Schedule
Flexible part-time and full-time opportunities available.
