JOB TITLE: SECURITY GUARD-Overnight Vehicle Patrol

POSITIONS AVAILABLE: Part-Time

SCHEDULE POSSIBILITIES: Hours vary between 8:00 PM to 8:00 AM Sunday thru Saturday

COMPENSATION: Starting at $20.00 up to $23.00 per hour.

  • Must have a clean driving record and valid driver's license, this position will involve operating a company vehicle.
  • This job will PRIMARILY BE PERFORMED at a SPECIFIC SITE OR MULTIPLE LOCATIONS (bases upon need)
    • GENERAL STATEMENT OF JOB FUNCTIONS DESCRIPTION:

    The Security Guard's primary goal is the identification and prevention of situations that might put the client and others at risk. This position is tasked with providing a visible presence and deterrence and ready to tactfully intervene where appropriate.

    REQUIREMENTS:
  • Be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident
  • Possess a High School Diploma or GED
  • Able to speak, read, write and/or effectively communicate the English language
  • A clean driving record and valid driver's license
  • Denver Security Guard License
  • Ability to work in culturally diverse settings
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Pass an extensive background check
  • Must have reliable transportation (an automobile preferred)
    • PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Previous security experience
  • Denver Security Guard License

    • ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Verbal deescalation and request assistance to control, subdue, disarm, or apprehend persons threatening disturbances.
  • Regulation of the direction and flow of the movements of the public.
  • Enforcement of the rules, regulations, and policies related to crime reduction and facility operations.
  • The protection against destruction and theft of clients’ property.
  • Protecting buildings and grounds (including all contents, occupants, customers, and visitors) by enforcing rules and regulations related to security at the location.
  • Being familiar with all relevant special and general orders.
  • Assure that people within the assigned location are adhering to the required guidelines set forth by the Client.
  • Conducting and reviewing safety inspections of all areas of the location disruptions to the business; mitigating risks that could affect the daytoday operations of a facility.
    • TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:

    Officers must be able to observe, walk, stand, sit, bend, stoop, and stretching or drive for extended periods of time in various weather conditions. Ability to run, climb stairs, and carry fire extinguishers or other emergency equipment. Help restrain or lift a person; occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare, and communicate appropriate reports. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus; frequently required to use hands, handle or feel objects or controls.

    TIME COMMITMENT:

    The start and end dates and hourly commitment of the position are flexible and can be adjusted based on business/ management’s needs.
