As a Security Officer Part Time Patrol in Normal, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Auto, and more. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic automotive location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, support access activity, and remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents. This role offers the chance to deliver outstanding customer service and communication while working with a team that values being agile, reliable, innovative, and acting with integrity.

DayTimeMon09:30 PM - 06:00 AMFri01:30 PM - 10:00 PM
What You'll Do:
  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an automotive location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating observations to site leadership and/or emergency personnel as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, production areas, parking lots, shipping and receiving zones, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials when required, and report suspicious behavior, operational concerns, and/or policy violations according to site-specific protocols.
  • Support order at the location by providing visible presence, following post instructions, and assisting with security-related inquiries, directions, and/or incident reporting.

Minimum Requirements:
  • A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
