This position requires multitasking with different software programs and platforms. Our part-time librarians are often the only library faculty working during their shifts, so they need to have the ability to seek help when needed and be able to adapt their behavior to the demands of any given typical situation. Example of Duties GENERAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Part of the counseling assignment may be online, in the evening, and/or on Saturdays.

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to: Providing information literacy, research help and other library services. Creating and maintaining learning objects, such as tutorials and research guides. Maintaining appropriate standards of professional conduct and ethics.

Staff the reference desk using the following types of simultaneous research interactions: in-person, chat, email, and telephone research help. Conduct bibliographic instruction or a wide range of classes. Bibliographic Instruction is conducted at the request of the instructor; hence, no established times are available at this moment.

Instruction takes place any time of the day and evening. Some collection projects may be assigned. Other projects may be assigned from time to time.
