What You'll Do Day-To-Day
  • Installs, troubleshoots, assembles and disassembles, repairs and maintains tooling and equipment at plant sites; may include equipment associated with refueling, inspecting and maintaining nuclear reactors and components.  
  • Conducts routine and non-routine field tasks, operates specialized equipment, takes measurements, extracts and compiles data regarding equipment and process performance.  
  • Develops calculations, tables, reports and related data; maintains maintenance logs and certification documents.  
  • Assists with the development of procedures required to perform equipment maintenance and operation.  
  • Participates in planning and executing projects.  
  • May provide input to training materials and may conduct training, as needed.  
  • Complies with all applicable safety and health rules including personal dose compliance.  
  • Works flexible hours and shifts, as required, to ensure timely service.  
  • May require extensive travel to a variety of regional and remote job sites.  
  • May/Will require unescorted nuclear site access.  
  • Technical certifications to be acquired: Tool Technician:  Two additional tool technician certs; Operator:  Must complete NDE117.2, NDE1150.5, NDE1320.2, NDE1110.4 or RAN100.2; NDE Technician:  Must record all experience gained and become LVL I in at least one discipline. 
What You'll Bring
  • High School diploma or equivalent education
  • Minimum of 4 years of related experience and NDE Technician I Sr requisites* is required.  
  • *NDE Technician I Sr requisites met: NDE111T.4 Bottom Up Tool Technician; NDE115T.5 USA Blade Technician; NDE132T.2 Underhead Manipulator Technician; PLT200.2 Steam Generator Primary Platform Technician ; PTRPLGT.0 Plugging Tooling Engineer; RAN110.1  Ranger Platform technician.
  • Advanced knowledge of commonly used equipment, practices, procedures and concepts in a particular field.  
  • May require specific nuclear reactor plant maintenance qualification training and certification.  
  • Knowledge of company and industry safety and health policies and programs, as required for specific roles.  
  • Good communication skills to comprehend, follow direction, convey detailed technical data and work effectively with all levels of staff and management, vendors and customers.
Total Rewards Package
  • Salary: $26.90 - $35.30 per hour, and may also include annual incentives and performance bonuses. The base salary range is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
