Position Overview
As a Part-Time Self-Storage Maintenance Technician, you’re responsible for providing maintenance support across assigned self-storage properties while consistently representing Kittle Property Group in a professional manner. You’ll work closely with the Self Storage Property Manager to complete inspections, handle maintenance requests, and keep units and common areas in top condition.
Key Responsibilities
You’ll play a hands-on role in keeping our self-storage properties running smoothly, including:
- Perform inspections of assigned self-storage properties
- Perform lock checks as directed and verify move-out units with the Property Manager
- Complete maintenance requests in a timely manner
- Prepare vacant units for occupancy
- Complete preventative maintenance activities
- Sweep, clean, and maintain interior hallways as required
- Provide service and maintenance for common areas including fence lines, drive aisles, lawn, and shrubbery
- Perform snow removal of sidewalks when applicable
- Maintain a log of weather and snow removal efforts
- Maintain tools, equipment, and replacement parts in working condition
- Support additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you’ll bring:
- 1 year of related experience
- Language skills: ability to read, write, speak, and interpret basic instructions and simple correspondence; ability to present information one-on-one or in small groups
- Math skills: ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide by 10s and 100s
- Reasoning skills: ability to follow detailed written or oral instructions with common-sense understanding; ability to solve problems with few variables in standardized situations
- Computer skills: beginner-level skills with MS Outlook and MS Word
