Part time executive assistants are professionals who provide administrative and organizational support to executives, managers, or departments on a part-time basis. Their responsibilities often include managing schedules, handling correspondence, arranging meetings, and performing various office tasks. Working part time allows them to offer flexibility to employers who may not require or cannot support a full-time assistant. Part time executive assistants must be highly organized, efficient, and able to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. They may work in-person or remotely depending on the company's needs.

How does a part time executive assistant typically manage communication and workflow across varying schedules?

As a part-time executive assistant, managing communication and workflow efficiently is crucial, especially when you and your executive may not always be in the office at the same time. Most organizations use digital tools such as shared calendars, project management software, and instant messaging platforms to bridge schedule gaps. Proactive communication, thorough documentation, and setting clear expectations for response times help ensure tasks stay on track. Regular check-ins, even if brief or virtual, are also vital for maintaining alignment and supporting the executive effectively.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a part time executive assistant, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Part Time Executive Assistant, you need strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in office administration, often backed by experience or a relevant associate’s degree. Familiarity with office software (like Microsoft Office Suite or Google Workspace), scheduling tools, and sometimes virtual meeting platforms is typically required. Outstanding communication, time management, and discretion are soft skills that help you build trust and efficiently support executives. These abilities ensure smooth operations, effective time management for leaders, and the professional handling of sensitive information.

Is being a part time executive assistant a stressful job?

Part-time executive assistants often experience moderate stress levels due to managing multiple tasks, deadlines, and communication with executives. The job can be less stressful than full-time roles but still requires strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize. About Our Family

We are a private family based in the Maitland / Winter Park area seeking an exceptional Personal Assistant / House Manager to become a trusted, long-term right hand in our home. We are building a peaceful, highly organized, and efficiently run household and are looking for someone who thrives in creating order, anticipating needs, solving problems, and bringing calm to dynamic environments.

We currently have one beloved dog and will soon be adding a Golden Retriever to the family. We are welcoming our first child at the end of this year and plan to have more children in the future. This role is focused on household operations, personal assistance, logistics, and family support. You will work closely with us to keep our home, schedules, and daily life running seamlessly.

Because every week looks a little different, we're looking for someone who enjoys variety and is comfortable shifting priorities as needs arise. Some days may focus on household organization and administrative tasks, while others may involve coordinating appointments, preparing for guests, managing travel logistics, supporting extended family members, or stepping in wherever an extra set of capable hands is needed. Flexibility, sound judgment, and the ability to independently prioritize are essential to success in this role.

This is not simply an assistant role - it is a lifestyle management position for someone who takes pride in creating a well-run home and becoming a trusted partner over time.

Who You Are / What We're Looking For

You are intelligent, proactive, emotionally mature, and highly capable. You can read a room, anticipate needs before they're spoken, and solve problems independently. You're a self-starter-resourceful, detail-oriented, and highly trustworthy-with a calm, steady presence under pressure.

You are patient, grounded, and adaptable during high-pressure moments. You don't take things personally, and you operate with professionalism, discretion, and grace-warm and respectful while always maintaining appropriate boundaries and confidentiality.

You are an excellent communicator who keeps everyone aligned without being overbearing. You value autonomy, feedback, and long-term growth, and you take pride in building loyalty and consistency over time-someone who can grow with a family long-term and become an indispensable part of a well-run household.

What Success Looks Like

Your role is to make life feel lighter, smoother, and more organized. You create systems, reduce friction, solve problems before they escalate, and help maintain a home environment where our family can thrive.

We are looking for excellence, loyalty, and long-term partnership that will grow with our family- someone who will truly become an integral part of our family's success.
