To thrive as a Part Time Environmental Software Engineer, you need a strong background in programming (such as Python, R, or Java), environmental science concepts, and a relevant degree or equivalent experience. Familiarity with GIS tools, data visualization platforms, and environmental modeling software, as well as version control systems like Git, is typically required.
