An Associate Member Relationship Specialist (Teller 1) provides exceptional face-to-face member service in our branch locations.

Position hours vary between:

  • 8:30 am - 5:30 pm Monday through Friday
  • 8:30 am - 2:30 pm Saturday

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  1. Personally, provides exceptional member service; uses Service Standards in every work-related interaction.
  2. Actively participates in meeting the goals of the department and the Credit Union.
  3. Provides excellent service by using a positive and professional tone to assist members and team members accurately, thoroughly, and as efficiently as possible while maintaining consistent and friendly service.
  4. Uses organizational tools and techniques to complete tasks on time and successfully manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously.

Service

  1. Assists members with routine transactions and service requests, including but not limited to; positively identifying individuals, negotiating checks, receiving deposits, card services, etc.
  2. Assists with member research and problem resolution.
  3. Accurately completes member service requests, and places proper attention to data accuracy, policies and procedures, cash management and balancing, and branch safety/security routines.
  4. Works within given limits and authority; proactively seeks supervisory assistance as needed.
  5. Promotes credit union products and services and actively refers members to credit union partners as appropriate.
  6. Has an open mind; can conceptualize and proactively solve problems in pursuit of exemplary service to members, teammates, and the organization.
  7. Is courageous and willing to make decisions that result in positive member outcomes.

Development

  1. Exemplifies the attitude, aptitude, and ability to learn quickly and efficiently while showing assertiveness in personal development.
  2. Successfully completes all learning events and academies on schedule, effectively communicating with mentors and leaders with the purpose of achieving learning objectives.
  3. Actively participates in organizational projects and promotions; Develops a thorough knowledge of credit union products, services, rates, and partnerships.
  4. Suggests and participates in credit union community service opportunities and events.
  5. Maintains a working knowledge of Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Office of Foreign Asset Controls (OFAC) and complies with all laws and regulations applicable to area of responsibility.
  6. Regular and predictable attendance and punctuality.
  7. Other duties as assigned and deemed necessary by Supervisor to achieve the goals of the department and the Credit Union.

    Starting pay for successful applicants is generally within the minimum to midpoint of the pay range. Our consideration for pay is designed to support career growth and development over time. Offers extended depend on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to individual experience, knowledge, training, education, geographic location, market demands, and internal equity.
