The Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI) is one of the largest trade associations in the nation, representing more than 300 heating, ventilation, air-conditioning (HVAC), water heating, and commercial refrigeration manufacturers from all parts of the world. AHRI has an opening for a Part-Time Project Associate. The Project Associate supports the data analytics team by coordinating administrative, operational, and project-related activities that enable efficient delivery of data products and services. This role ensures smooth execution of workflows, including user onboarding, documentation, ticket management, and cross-team coordination. The position plays a critical role in maintaining organized processes, supporting system access and compliance, and improving the overall efficiency of analytics operations. The Project Associate works closely with technical and business stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate support.
Essential duties and responsibilities for this position are as follows:
  • Coordinate administrative aspects of analytics projects, including managing user profiles, scheduling, tracking deliverables, maintaining project documentation, and supporting communication across teams.
  • Manage and triage incoming requests (Freshdesk tickets), including user onboarding, access provisioning, and issue tracking for analytics services.
  • Maintain and update documentation, user guides, SOPs, and training materials to support internal users and external stakeholders.
  • Support data access governance processes, including monitoring user engagement and settings, including permissions.

Qualifications:
  • Associate’s degree in Information Technology or Data Analytics or a related field. One to two years of project management experience may be accepted in lieu of education.

AHRI offers a full benefits package with a flexible work schedule and a friendly work environment. The salary range for this position is $34.67/hr to $38.55/hr.
The work location for this position is Arlington, VA. Subject to supervisor approval, AHRI employees are eligible for participation in AHRI's alternate workplace program after 90 days of employment and a 90-day appraisal at a level of meets expectations.
