Job description

Description:

Somewhere between a trade show booth, a landing page, and a sales deck… things start to fall apart visually.

Not because the ideas aren’t there—they are.

But because there isn’t one person holding the thread.

That’s where you come in.

At Standard Calibrations, we’re a 135-person company doing serious, technical work. The marketing team is small—just a Marketing Manager (that’s who you’ll work with daily) and a Marketing & Innovation Specialist focused on digital ads. The ideas move fast. Campaigns stack up. Events come and go.

What we don’t have yet is a dedicated designer who can take all of that motion and make it coherent.

This role is about building that visual layer.

One day, you might be designing a landing page that actually converts.

The next, you’re laying out a clean, sharp sales sheet that someone brings into a client meeting.

A week later, you’re thinking through how a booth should feel when someone walks up to it—what they see first, what they remember after.

It’s not just “make it look good.”

It’s make it make sense.

You’ll be working about 20 hours a week to start, with room to grow if it clicks—for both sides.

Requirements:

What you’ll be doing

  • Designing landing pages (and ideally helping bring them to life, not just handing them off)
  • Creating print materials that sales teams actually want to use
  • Building digital ads and social graphics that don’t feel like an afterthought
  • Owning the look and feel of event materials—booths, signage, the whole experience

What helps you thrive here

  • Minimum of 2+ years of professional graphic design experience
  • Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign required; After Effects or Premiere is a plus)
  • Experience designing event booth graphics and large-format print materials
  • Experience designing and building landing pages (knowledge of UX/UI best practices)
  • Familiarity with Shopify Plus preferred
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing design standards and best practices
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a part-time capacity
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

A small ask (but not really optional)

Show your work. Portfolio matters here—we’re trying to understand how you think, not just what you’ve made.

Physical Requirements

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

  • Ability to lift equipment/items weighing up to 25 pounds
  • Long periods of sitting or frequent attendance at meetings at different locations in the building
  • Regularly required to talk and listen to others.

AAP/EEO Requirements

Standard Calibrations, Inc. is committed to equal employment opportunity. We recruit, employ, train, compensate, and promote without regard to race, religion, color, national origin, age, sex, disability, protected veteran status, or any other basis protected by applicable federal, state, or local law.
