The Harley-Davidson Motor Company Product Development Center (PDC) located in Wauwatosa, WI is home to the mantra - You dream it. We build it. Join our team as a  Motorcycle Designer, Graphic Designer.

Job Summary
In this role, you will be responsible for creating graphic designs that help define the next generation of iconic H-D Motorcycles.  All work will support OE Paint and Graphics, P&A, CVO, and other motorcycle collections.   The Graphic Designer will also work closely with Industrial Design, Engineering, Advanced Manufacturing, and Supply Base to deliver H-D Design intent.  Occasional travel is required to support our Manufacturing facilities during graphic development.  This position is based on-site at our Design Studio in Milwaukee, WI. To be considered, provide a portfolio demonstrating design work.

This is what you'll do:

  • Generate graphics schemes for motorcycles and Parts & Accessories
  • Work with a production artist to translate 2D designs into 3D mockups
  • Provide art direction and support to cross-functional teams that include Engineering, Advanced Manufacturing, and Supply Base
  • Provide design solutions with cross-functional teams and adhere to critical milestones 
  • Create comprehensive digital presentations that clearly communicates design direction and support brand vision
  • Support UX/UI interface design with graphic direction
  • Graphic brand support
    • Motorcycle artwork, logo development and usage, 3D badging and inserts
    • Apparel and Licensing support and collaboration
    • External graphic support (ex., racing, fleet trailers)  


Education Required

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
  • A Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or Industrial Design is preferred

Experience Required

  • The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience. In addition, they will have demonstrated the following:
    • Strong knowledge of graphic design principles and practices such as color theory and typography
    • Fluent in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
    • Adept at creating PowerPoint presentations
    • Experience creating 3D mockups
    • Knowledge of automotive paint processes (materials and application) is preferred
  • Provide portfolio demonstrating design work

The pay range shown represents the national average pay range for this role. Your pay may be more or less than the stated range and is dependent on your geographic location and level of experience.
