LifeSouth Community Blood Centers is looking for a Part-Time Graphic Designer in Gainesville, FL to join our fast-paced, collaborative Marketing team.
The ideal candidate brings creativity and strong design skills, but just as importantly, is dependable, resourceful and eager to learn. We're looking for someone who can manage multiple priorities, use sound judgment to work through challenges and take ownership of their assignments from concept through completion. A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and genuine interest in growing as a designer will go a long way in this role.
What You'll Do
  • Bring ideas to life through creative designs for print, digital and multimedia applications
  • Create materials including posters, advertisements, brochures, billboards, templates, digital media, newsletters, web elements and other marketing collateral
  • Develop visual concepts, graphics and artwork that support LifeSouth's brand and marketing initiatives
  • Apply brand standards consistently while finding creative ways to carry visual elements across campaigns and projects
  • Manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment where priorities may shift
  • Take direction and move projects forward independently, using good judgment and asking questions when additional information is needed
  • Collaborate with team members and internal partners to understand project needs and develop effective creative solutions
  • Receive, incorporate and respond professionally to feedback and revisions throughout the creative process
  • Review your work carefully for accuracy, consistency and quality before final production
  • Edit and write copy while adhering to AP Style
  • Stay current with design software, tools and techniques
  • Communicate proactively about project status, changing priorities, questions or potential roadblocks
  • Support other projects and the team, as needs arise

What You'll Need
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign
  • Strong computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office applications
  • A creative eye and strong attention to detail
  • The ability to take direction, apply feedback and move work forward without requiring continuous oversight
  • Initiative, resourcefulness and practical problem-solving skills
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to balance multiple assignments and deadlines
  • The judgment to work through routine challenges independently while recognizing when to ask for clarification or assistance
  • A collaborative, dependable and team-oriented approach
  • A willingness to learn, receive feedback and continue developing your skills
  • A valid driver's license and the ability to meet and maintain LifeSouth driver eligibility requirements
