Job description

Emergency Department Technician Part Time

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Technician Part Time to join our dynamic Emergency Department team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients of all ages and acuity levels, including those in trauma, observation, rapid medical evaluation, and basic care areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Efficiently triage patients of all ages based on acuity and clinical urgency.

  • Deliver comprehensive nursing care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individualized patient needs.

  • Provide safe, efficient, and compassionate care that considers each patient's physical, mental, and spiritual well-being.

  • Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

  • Demonstrate professional accountability and assume a delegated leadership role in assigned resource areas when needed.

Qualifications:

  • Can be filled by an AEMT, paramedic, or a CNA who is competently trained to provide care in the ER setting

  • Current CPR certification required.

  • Prior Emergency Department experience is preferred.

  • Ongoing compliance with certification and education requirements is the responsibility of the employee to remain eligible for Emergency Department assignment.
