Aspirus Medford Hospital in Medford, WI is seeking an EMERGENCY ROOM TECHNICIAN to join our team!
The Emergency Department Technician (ED Tech) is a member of the patient care team that provides clerical duties and direct patient care in the Emergency Department under the direction of the Department Director, licensed nursing staff and providers. They strive to meet the communication needs of the patient/family, departmental staff and medical staff.
HOURS: Part Time or .7 FTE, 56 hours every pay period. 8/12-hour shifts, PM/Night rotation, every other weekend, holiday rotation
Experience/Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited MA program; enrolled in an approved nursing program, having completed the basic nursing arts required; certified nursing assistant or have completed the EMT basic course is required.
  • Current BLS Certification is required.
  • Education in medical terminology courses and basic computer course is preferred.
  • Experience in patient care in a clinic, acute care hospital or ambulance is required.
  • Six (6) months' experience in an acute care hospital is preferred.
