Facilities & Janitorial Support Specialist
Compensation: $19-$20 Per Hour
Hours: 15-20 hours per week
Requirements: Background check and driving history check required
Position Overview
The Facilities & Janitorial Support Specialist is responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and professional medical clinic environment. This role blends routine janitorial services with facility inspections, inventory tracking, light maintenance, and consistent communication with the Facility Manager to ensure the clinic remains safe, functional, and welcoming for staff and patients.
Key Responsibilities
Janitorial & Facility Presentation
  • Perform weekly janitorial and housekeeping services for the medical clinic.
  • Ensure the clinic remains clean, organized, and professionally maintained.
  • Most cleaning duties will occur after business hours or on weekends.
Facility Walk-Throughs & Inspections
  • Conduct weekly walk-through inspections of the clinic.
  • Identify, document, and report facility concerns such as damaged furniture, broken fixtures, safety issues, or items requiring repair or replacement.
  • Support the Facility Manager in maintaining orderly, presentable clinical spaces.
Inventory & Supplies
  • Create, update, and maintain clinic-specific inventories for furniture, equipment, cleaning products, and office supplies.
  • Monitor supply levels and proactively notify the Facility Manager when restocking is needed.
  • Review and update inventories on a weekly basis.
Basic Maintenance & Facility Support
  • Assist with light facility tasks, including:
    • Minor repairs (e.g., replacing ceiling tiles, mounting items on walls).
    • Light furniture assembly.
    • Monthly checks of fire extinguishers and emergency lighting.
  • Occasionally meet contractors on-site to provide building access.
  • Assist with basic IT troubleshooting when needed (e.g., router resets).
Communication & Reporting
  • Provide concise weekly reports outlining inventory updates, facility concerns, and maintenance needs.
  • Participate in weekly check-ins with the Facility Manager (in person, phone, or Microsoft Teams).
  • Maintain consistent communication while working independently.

Qualifications
  • Previous experience in janitorial, housekeeping, or general facility maintenance preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to document findings clearly and accurately.
  • Able to work independently while remaining organized and proactive.
  • Dependable, reliable, and solution-oriented.
  • Clean driving record required.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds.
