Job Summary:
The Astronomy, Mathematics, and Physics Department is seeking an affiliate faculty member to teach an upper-level introduction to electronics course. This is a part-time, in-person position.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide instruction and facilitate active problem-solving in either digital or analog electronics, as determined through consultation with the department chair, at a level appropriate for our students.
  • Keep complete and accurate grade records.
  • Evaluate student performance.
  • Communicate regularly with students and the department chair, including via Regis-provided email.
  • Maintain regular office hours to provide students with academic support appropriate for the teaching assignment-- 1 hour per week
  • Faculty will participate in designing their own course in consultation with the chair of the department.

Minimum Qualifications: Master's degree in an engineering discipline or closely related field.
Preferred Qualifications: Teaching experience in engineering, physics, or a related field. Experience as a Professional Engineer or working with electronics as an experimental physicist.
Special Instructions to Applicants: Please submit a CV, cover letter, and contact information for three references with your application. Your cover letter should be brief and express your interest in a part-time, in-person teaching position.
Work Schedule: The course is currently scheduled for Mondays 2:10 - 4:50 pm and Wed/Fri 2:00 - 3:15 pm, but it may be possible to move it if needed to accommodate the instructor's schedule.
This position will remain open until filled, with a priority application deadline of June 19, 2026.
This position is benefits-eligible for workers' compensation and will receive 1 hour of paid sick leave for every 30 hours worked, up to a maximum of 48 hours per year.
