Electronic Ground Systems Technician
The Opportunity:
Serve as a subject Matter Expert in military and commercial Power Generation, Distribution and Control Systems. Leverage in-depth knowledge of HVAC systems, supporting Space Force assets worldwide. Support includes both in-garrison and deployed technical expertise and manual labor for setup, operation, maintenance, teardown, packing, and transport of advanced communications systems. Install, configure, maintain, and repair electrical systems and distribution equipment, including military and commercial power distribution systems. Design electrical systems for new equipment, ensuring proper integration and power quality within existing infrastructure. Install, maintain, and repair military, commercial, fixed and deployable HVAC systems. Lead the assembly and disassembly of fielded SATCOM equipment and support equipment at either local or deployable locations, including packing or containerizing for shipment, as well as loading and unloading equipment using the forklift.
You Have:
  • 4+ years of experience as an Electronics Equipment Technician
  • Experience with deployable antenna systems, manual and auto transfer switch theory, maintenance, and operations
  • Experience with diagnosing malfunctions, performing preventative maintenance of power generation, distribution, and electrical control systems, and with electrical test equipment, such as multimeters or megohmmeters
  • Knowledge of UPS maintenance, integration, and troubleshooting
  • Ability to troubleshoot, test, and repair faulty high, medium, and low voltage HVAC equipment using diagnostic tools
  • Ability to operate forklifts, including 6k, 10k, electric and gas-powered, and all-terrain
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • HS diploma or GED

Nice If You Have:
  • 8+ years of experience as an Aerospace Ground Equipment (AGE) Technician
  • Experience creating, reading, and interpreting blueprints, electrical schematics, and wiring diagrams
  • Experience with military mobility, military airlift and commercial logistics
  • Knowledge of National Electrical Code and safety regulations
  • Ability to diagnose malfunctions and perform preventative maintenance of power generation, distribution, and electrical control systems
  • Ability to communicate technical details and plans, including interaction and presentation to team members at all levels
  • Ability to multi-task and adjust priorities based on customer needs
  • Associate's degree in a STEM field
  • Forklift Operator Certification
  • EPA Universal Refrigerant Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
