Job description

Responsibilities
  • Assist with reviewing contracts in response to business questions, and support senior attorneys with research and information to help inform business decisions
  • Support legal review of video and editorial content under attorney supervision.
  • Conduct preliminary research on legal issues, including intellectual property, defamation, fair use, contract law, privacy and data security, advertising, and employment law, and summarize findings for attorney review.
  • Assist with reviewing, drafting, and organizing a variety of commercial agreements, including photographer and production agreements (video, editorial, photographic content), talent agreements, event and hospitality agreements, master service agreements, confidentiality agreements, content licensing agreements, distribution agreements, equipment rental agreements, and independent contractor agreements.
  • Review and provide feedback to internal sales teams on insertion orders in connection with advertising and media buys.
  • Help maintain and update internal contract templates.
  • Assist with coordinating communications with Outside Counsel as needed.
Requirements
  • J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school preferred (not required); current law students or recent graduates encouraged to apply.
  • Bar admission is not required
  • 0-2 years of relevant legal or transactional experience (internships, clerkships, or paralegal experience considered).
  • Exposure to media, advertising and entertainment related contracts, insertion orders, licensing of media properties, music, rights clearances, content review, or production/distribution of content and digital media is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal and analytical skills, with excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Comfortable interacting professionally with creative and business teams.
  • Proficient with MS Office and basic document review/editing; familiarity with contract management software (e.g., Ironclad) a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently  under tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and support multiple departments; part-time schedule (approx. 20-28 hrs/week).
