WTMJ Part-Time Digital Content Producer

(Milwaukee, WI)


Wisconsinโ€™s Legendary News/Talk Brand WTMJ is looking for a part-time Digital Content Producer to create content on our award-winning digital news platforms. Wisconsinites have looked to WTMJ as a resource for the purposeful news and storytelling that matters to our community for over a century. The successful candidate should have a strong vision as well as technical understanding of digital content creation & industry trends as well as the ability to create content across website, app, and social media platforms that align with WTMJโ€™s brand.


Career Responsibilities of a Digital Content Producer:

  • Create and repurpose content that is uniquely optimized to fit each social media audience and algorithm.
  • Communicate closely with show producers to find the best content to repurpose.
  • Pitch and produce original digital content.
  • Monitor, analyze and grow social media reach, audience, and engagement.
  • Meet monthly with Digital & Social Media Content Managers to discuss results & strategy for WTMJโ€™s social & digital priorities.
  • Gather or create original content or content we have express permission to use.
  • Provide video coverage of live news and interviews to be edited into social posts/videos.
  • Collaborate and share content with others across the company as appropriate.
  • Share and acquire deep knowledge of our brand promise and strategy across various digital content platforms.
  • Join and contribute to the GKB Digital Content Calls and the GKB Content Calls.
  • Work with the WTMJ content leadership team to ensure high-quality delivery of WTMJโ€™s digital assets.
  • Integrate AI tools into daily workflows to improve communication, documentation, project coordination, reporting, and operational efficiency while maintaining appropriate human oversight.
  • Other assigned tasks
  • Be a Good Karma Brands ambassador by adhering to the GKB core values: Listen, Be Honest, Follow Through, Work Hard, Teamwork and Over Deliver


Preferred knowledge, skills, and qualifications:

  • Proficient in video and image editing software (primarily in the Adobe Suite).
  • Strong working knowledge of social media algorithms and how to cater content to what works on each platform.
  • Creative (in both original content ideas and how to produce them across platforms).
  • Goal oriented and creative self-starter.
  • Passionate to be part of the team and ability to work independently.
  • Willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Good Karma Brands part-time teammates are paid hourly with opportunity for increased pay with increased skills and responsibilities. This role will require teammates to work some evenings & weekends.
