Essential Job Duties
NC State Campus Enterprises is looking for an innovative, strategic and creative marketing professional to join our dynamic marketing team as a Marketing Specialist supporting Wolfpack Outfitters (the official NC State bookstore) and its key subsidiaries, including Wolf Xpress Print and Copy.
If you know how to build a buzzing digital community, launch a seasonal campaign that turns heads and tell a compelling brand story that connects with students, alumni, and fans-we want you on our team!
What You'll Do
As our Marketing Specialist, you will wear many creative hats to elevate the Wolfpack retail experience across digital and physical spaces.
Campaign Strategy & Brand Storytelling
  • Develop and execute multi-channel marketing and communication plans that boost brand awareness and directly impact sales.
  • Own the annual promotional calendar-from high-energy product launches and seasonal retail campaigns to campus events.
  • Craft and deploy integrated campaigns across email, social media, web, digital ads and more.

Content Creation & Digital Buzz
  • Partner with our graphic designer, mentor an energetic student social media team and collaborate with key stakeholders to produce effective creative assets.
  • Manage paid and organic digital marketing efforts, leveraging Google Advertising and social media to capture target audiences.
  • Coordinate and lead lifestyle and studio product photoshoots featuring students, staff and community members to bring our merchandise to life.
  • Keep the Wolfpack Outfitters e-commerce experience fresh by managing homepage features, promotions and engaging content.

Insights, Trends & Innovation
  • Build dashboards and reports to analyze campaign performance and digital touchpoints, using data to continually sharpen our marketing strategy.
  • Keep a pulse on retail marketing trends, consumer behavior and emerging platforms to keep our brand innovative and culturally relevant.
  • Step up to support broader Campus Enterprises marketing, PR and division-wide initiatives.

  • Adhere to all University policies, procedures, and regulations, and Division standard operating practices and protocols.
  • May be required to drive a state vehicle to deliver materials for events to locations across campus.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to ensure Campus Enterprises' business needs are met.

Qualifications
Minimum Experience/Education
Bachelor's degree in a discipline related to the area of assignment; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience developing and implementing marketing strategies using a variety of media with an emphasis on web, email and social media.
  • Copyright and editing experience with an understanding of basic advertising and copyright laws.
  • Prior direct retail marketing and public relations experience.
  • Professional and internship experience relevant to the position's requirements.

Required License or Certification
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • A valid North Carolina driver's license or the ability to obtain one within 60 days of start date is required.
