Job description
Part Time - Up to 19.5 hours per week
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or higher
The Structured Literacy Tutor will support the delivery of target reading instruction to students in grades 3-8 using a Structured Literacy Approach - a direct, explicit, multisensory, structured, sequential, diagnostic, and prescriptive way to teach literacy when reading, writing, and spelling do not come easily to individuals, such as those with dyslexia.
Experience
- Implement the principles of a structured literacy approach based on the science of reading.
- Structured Literacy (OG, Wilson, C-SLDS)
- Develop lesson plans in alignment with the structured literacy approach.
- Analyze student performance data and report on student progress.
- Deep interest in serving students who learn differently
- Strong organization and communication (written and verbal) skills
- Passion for serving culturally diverse populations
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Openness to feedback and collaboration
- Minimum of Bachelor's Degree
- Hold C-SLDS certification

- Maintain ongoing communication with students, parents, and faculty members, including providing quarterly progress reports
