Job Summary: We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Language Enrichment Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for language instruction and a proven ability to engage students in dynamic, interactive, and culturally relevant learning experiences. This role involves planning, delivering, and assessing lessons that enhance language proficiency and appreciation.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver engaging language enrichment lessons tailored to the needs and abilities of students.
  • Incorporate interactive and innovative teaching methods, including the use of technology and multimedia resources.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports diverse learning styles and cultural backgrounds.
  • Assess student progress through formal and informal evaluations, providing constructive feedback to students and parents as needed.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and administrators to align teaching strategies with program goals.
  • Stay updated on best practices in language instruction and integrate them into lesson planning.


Qualifications:


  • Bachelors degree in Education, Linguistics, or a related field (Masters degree preferred).
  • Teaching certification or relevant licensure (if applicable).
  • Proven experience in language instruction, particularly in enrichment or supplemental learning settings.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in one of the following languages: Spanish, French, or American Sign Language.
  • Familiarity with modern educational tools and resources.
  • Must obtain North Carolina Child Care Criminal Qualifying Letter
  • Present a TB Screening/Test and Health Assessment
  • CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).


Preferred Skills:


  • Experience working with diverse student populations
  • Ability to tailor lesson plans for students ages 1 years-old to 12 years-old
  • Knowledge of second language acquisition theories and practices.
  • Creativity in curriculum design and lesson delivery.
