Salary: $15.50- $16.50

SUMMARY

 The mission of all Tops associates is to adhere to the Tops vision of providing a friendly neighborhood store that saves the customer time and money. Bakers must possess reasonable knowledge in storing, preparing, and maintaining bakery products, as well as following recipes and adjusting where needed to create highest quality possible. Baker is also responsible in setting an example in providing attentive and courteous customer service.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Follow all Federal, State, and Local regulations as well as company policies regarding Bakery operations, safety, and sanitation
  • Maintain a “Clean as you go” work area
  • Adhere to company policy through proper processing, preparation, and packaging of product (i.e.: following recipes, packaging and displaying properly)
  • Complete all necessary paperwork relating to Bakery Department
  • Maintain organized and supplied bakery supply storage area
  • Prepare bakery products in adherence with quality standards
  • Prioritize multiple tasks without supervision
  • Minimize shrink through proper handling and storing of product
  • Ensure equipment is in proper working condition
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Must be at least 18 years of age 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Ability to read, write, and perform basic math functions
  • Possess basic computer skills
  • Possess strong communication skills
