Description
This part-time Dispatcher role provides flexible coverage to support transportation operations during staffing gaps, including PTO and other absences. The Dispatcher is responsible for coordinating transportation activities within an assigned market and may support additional markets as needed to ensure seamless operations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Demonstrate and uphold company Core Values: Trust, Team, Results, Pride, Fun, and Transparency
  • Coordinate and oversee daily transportation operations, including dispatching drivers and managing load assignments
  • Communicate effectively with customers, drivers, vendors, and internal teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of freight
  • Support the preparation and management of shipping and transportation documentation
  • Monitor and optimize fleet utilization to drive efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and service performance
  • Ensure adherence to service level agreements (SLA's) for both internal and external customers
  • Assist in coordinating third-party transportation services, including securing competitive quotes when needed
  • Monitor driver activity, schedules, and equipment usage to ensure operational coverage and efficiency
  • Review and track fleet performance using tools such as GPS and ELD systems, escalating concerns as appropriate
  • Support fleet maintenance and inspection scheduling to ensure safe and reliable operations
  • Maintain compliance with all applicable safety, regulatory, and company standards, including OSHA and DOT requirements
  • Serve as a liaison between transportation operations and cross-functional teams to support business needs
  • Complete all required training and perform additional duties as assigned

Physical Demands
  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods
  • Frequent walking throughout the facility to support admin and operational needs
  • Ability to lift and carry office or supply items up to 25 lbs
