General Description

A Server Assistant is responsible for supporting the Servers in delivering an exceptional dining experience. Primary responsibilities include clearing, cleaning, and resetting tables; stocking and maintaining essential service items such as silverware, water pitchers, ice, and other dining supplies; and delivering food orders from the kitchen to guests’ tables while assisting with food service in a timely and professional manner. Excellent guest service, communication, teamwork, and organizational skills are essential for success in this position.

Work Duties

  • Assist in the overall cleanliness and organization of the restaurant
  • Assist Servers in the clearing, cleaning, and setting of guest tables
  • Assist Servers in delivering food orders from the kitchen to the guest (“Food-running”)
  • Assist Servers in maintaining the overall cleanliness and organization of each side station
  • Assist Servers in maintaining the overall cleanliness and organization of each table section
  • Assist Servers in re-stocking and maintaining essential restaurant items, including water pitchers, ice, silverware, glasses, plates, napkins, tablecloths etc.
  • Assist with any additional job duties as assigned by managers/supervisors
  • Perform all duties in an accurate and efficient manner
  • Have a basic knowledge of restaurant menus and daily specials
  • Have basic knowledge of acceptable forms of payment and the Disney Dining Plan
  • Complete all assigned opening and closing duties
  • Display proper food safety procedures at all times
  • Follow all necessary laws and processes for the safe service of alcohol
  • Work closely with all other team members and display good teamwork
  • Follow the Disney 5-Keys Basics, Service Basics and Company Guidelines at all times
  • All other tasks as assigned
