Kent Island Resort | A VIVÂMEE Property

Kent Island Resort is seeking an experienced, dynamic Resort General Manager to lead one of the region’s most unique hospitality destinations. This executive-level role is responsible for driving exceptional guest experiences, operational excellence, and financial performance across all areas of the resort.

As the leader of the senior leadership team, the GM will oversee all aspects of the property—including catering, weddings, restaurant operations, guest accommodations, events, and resort programming—while serving as the face of the resort to guests, team members, and the community.

What You’ll Do

Lead & Inspire

  • Champion and model VIVÂMEE values: Joy, Humility, and Ministry
  • Build, coach, and develop a high-performing leadership team
  • Foster a positive, engaged, and service-driven culture

Drive Operations Excellence

  • Oversee all resort operations including:
    • Rooms, Housekeeping, Front Desk
    • Food & Beverage, Restaurant, Banquets
    • Weddings, Catering, and Events
    • Sales & Marketing
    • Maintenance, IT, Security
  • Ensure consistent delivery of exceptional guest service and product quality
  • Develop, implement, and improve SOPs across departments

Own Financial Performance

  • Manage budgets, forecasting, and P&L performance
  • Control labor, inventory, and operational costs
  • Implement revenue-driving strategies, pricing, and packages
  • Identify creative opportunities to grow revenue across all business lines

Enhance Guest Experience

  • Serve as the face of Kent Island Resort
  • Build strong relationships with guests, clients, VIPs, and community partners
  • Elevate the guest journey across weddings, retreats, and resort experiences

Build & Manage Talent

  • Lead recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and training efforts
  • Support team member growth, performance management, and retention
  • Create a workplace culture that attracts and retains top hospitality talent

Ensure Compliance & Quality

  • Maintain compliance with all safety, labor, and licensing regulations
  • Oversee facilities, maintenance, and overall property condition
  • Ensure operational consistency and brand standards are met

  • 10–15+ years of progressive leadership experience in hospitality or resort management
