Responsibilities

The Equipment Technician supports the management, maintenance, and distribution of construction materials testing equipment. This role assists in ensuring all equipment is functional, properly calibrated, organized, and available to support field and laboratory operations. The Equipment Technician works under supervision to maintain equipment readiness and inventory accuracy while demonstrating a positive customer service attitude and ECS Core Values.

Responsibilities

  • Cleans, maintains, and calibrates construction materials testing equipment
  • Assists with preventative maintenance to ensure equipment reliability
  • Supports tracking and inventory management of equipment and tools
  • Ensures equipment is properly stored, organized, and available for use
  • Assists with maintaining records for calibration and compliance
  • Supports nuclear gauge storage compliance in coordination with RSO
  • Maintains a clean, safe, and organized work environment
  • Encourages and follows proper use of PPE and safety procedures
  • Assists with training activities in laboratory and field environments as needed
  • Supports distribution and collection of equipment for field operations
  • Performs additional operational and support duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • 0 years of related experience
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Obtain the certifications applicable to the work performed as per the ECS Technician Certification Policy
  • If driving for or on behalf of any ECS subsidiary, a valid driver's license is required
  • Dependable, detail-oriented, and organized
  • Strong organizational and inventory management skills
  • Basic understanding of construction materials testing equipment (developing)
  • Hands-on mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to follow procedures and instructions closely
  • Basic proficiency with Excel and electronic devices
  • Ability to maintain a clean and organized workspace
  • Ability to lift equipment and materials regularly (up to ~85 lbs)
