Lifestyle Assistant – Full Time & Part Time Option

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m. | One weekend per month required
Location: Santa Marta – A Catholic-based Continuing Care Retirement Community

Are you creative, energetic, and passionate about enriching the lives of seniors? Join our team as a Lifestyle Assistant and help bring joy, engagement, and meaning to each day for our residents.


What You’ll Do
  • Assist in planning, scheduling, and leading daily lifestyle programs that support residents’ intellectual, recreational, occupational, spiritual, physical, and emotional well-being.
  • Coordinate and participate in community events and activities—from setup to cleanup.
  • Help plan and decorate for holidays and special occasions.
  • Prepare, post, and distribute the monthly calendar of events.
  • Meet with new residents to introduce them to our lifestyle program.
  • Communicate regularly with residents and families to encourage participation and feedback.
  • Support the Director of Lifestyle in coordinating wellness programs and leading resident groups.
  • Accurately record resident participation using a charting database.
  • Promote a welcoming, engaging, and hospitable environment consistent with our Mission, Values, and Catholic social teachings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
What You Bring
  • Education/Experience:
    • 1–3 years of related experience preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Associate’s degree preferred.
  • Skills:
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to plan, organize, and lead engaging activities.
    • Comfortable using Microsoft Windows, internet applications, and design software, Canva (for calendars and signs).
    • Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, and move for prolonged periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs occasionally.
  • Comfortable working in both office and active event environments.
