Cornerstone Co-op invites applications for our part-time Liquor Clerk position in St. Paul, AB. This is an evergreen posting advertisement for a position that we regularly hire for throughout the year. It is a way for Cornerstone Co-op to build a database of qualified, interested individuals so that the hiring process will be faster when there is a need to fill that type of role.

What you'll do:

• Engage with member-owners and customers to provide outstanding Co-op experiences. 

• Operate the Point-of-Sale system and processing customer transactions. Training will be provided if needed. 

• Ensure department standards are met with inventory, ordering, stocking, and displaying. Follow opening and closing procedures. 

• Resolve customer issues and answer questions. 

• Process returns transactions efficiently. 

• Maintain checkout operations by adhering to policies and procedures. 

• Ensure proper maintenance and housekeeping in the store. 

• Follow safety protocols at all times. 

• Be available to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays on a rotational basis.

• Demonstrate day-to-day behaviors and actions that align with and strengthen the Co-operative's vision, mission, values, and focus on safety.

• Perform other duties as assigned to support team operations and customer service initiatives.

Who you are: 

• You are 18 years of age or older.

• You have Grade 12 education or equivalent retail and/or customer service experience.

• You have ProServe certification or are willing to complete it through AGLC after being hired.

• You're able to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs. Loads exceeding 50 lbs will be managed with lifting equipment or assistance in accordance with safety guidelines. 

• You are able to stand and move throughout your shift, including walking, bending, and reaching, while staying active with tasks such as assisting customers, unloading freight, and stocking shelves.

• You're action oriented, customer focused and work well with other Team Members.

• You're honest and trustworthy, are results-oriented and strive to be the best in what you do.

• You believe in building relationships and collaborating to deliver solutions that matter most, and you recognize the value that different perspectives bring to meet shared objectives.
