CORE JOB SUMMARY
The Data Analyst 1 performs basic data analysis using various techniques and assists with maintaining databases and dashboards to support the department's planning needs, goals, and objectives. The Data Analyst 1 position leads projects and serves as a liaison to various internal units, teams, committees, and external vendors.
CORE JOB FUNCTIONS
1. Performs basic data analysis using various techniques, e.g. statistical analysis, explanatory and predictive modeling, data mining.
2. Analyzes data to ensure accuracy and reports any issues to management.
3. Researches best practices and supports developing the solutions and recommendations for the current business operations.
4. Generates reports and analyzes data for internal planning processes and reporting purposes.
5. Maintains databases and dashboards to support the department's planning needs, goals, and objectives.
6. Provides basic business data interpretation, such as identifying trends or patterns of data sets.
7. Analyzes information in reports to support the department's planning, needs, goals, and objectives.
8. Analyzes data to ensure accuracy and reports any issues to management.
9. Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.
