Cloud Security Project Manager
The Opportunity:
Everyone is trying to "harness the cloud," but not everyone knows how to govern and protect it effectively. As an Enhanced Data Protection Project Manager, you understand how to coordinate complex security, compliance, and information-protection initiatives that safeguard sensitive data across Microsoft 365 IL5 and IL6 Flank Speed environments. What if you could guide mission teams in planning, delivering, and maturing enterprise data-protection capabilities that measurably strengthen secure collaboration and Zero Trust?
As a Project Manager supporting Microsoft Purview data-protection programs, you'll lead the planning, execution, and sustainment of enterprise information-protection, DLP, and lifecycle-governance initiatives across Microsoft 365. You'll work with Navy mission stakeholders, cybersecurity teams, records managers, cloud-engineering personnel, and Purview SMEs to translate policy requirements into actionable roadmaps, orchestrate technical implementation, and ensure consistent progress toward mission-critical outcomes.
Your leadership will be central as you oversee projects involving Sensitive Information Types (SITs), label-driven encryption, retention and records-management controls, insider-risk governance, endpoint DLP, and compliance automation. You'll facilitate requirements gathering, monitor execution across engineering teams, manage risks and interdependencies, and ensure documentation, communication, and decision-making stay aligned with IL5 or IL6 GovCloud and Zero Trust principles. You'll deepen your expertise in cloud-security program management while helping mission partners modernize how they protect, govern, and audit sensitive information.
Help us deliver cloud-secure readiness for our nation's warfighters by enabling robust Microsoft Purview governance, disciplined project execution, and enterprise-level data-protection strategy.
