Data Annotation Supervisor

At Enabled Intelligence we believe in the value of investing in our people. By providing individualized, hands-on support to our diverse workforce, we have been able to create a superpowered team. The Data Annotation Supervisor is a critical piece of what makes our team so successful. Each supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day management of up to 20 Data Annotators including insuring team members are following company policies and have the support and Resouces they need to be successful at their job. Responsibilities

  • Ownership of your team member's performance metrics including weekly review of metrics and development of performance remediation plans to help team member improve by collaborating with Project Managers, the Quality Team and Training Team
  • Ensure that your team members have the resources they need to be successful including provide job coaching and guidance on individual performance, job efficiency, professional skill development, time management, professional communication skills, teamwork, and inter-employee interaction
  • Facilitate and support performance feedback discussions when a team member is not following a policy, is having behavioral issues or is having performance issues on a project
  • Ensure that your team members are following all Enabled Intelligence polices and procedures
  • Documentation of all performance or behavioral issues
  • Track punctuality and attendance
  • Review and approve time off requests
  • Monitor and audit timecards to ensure annotators are billing their time correctly
  • Advocate for your Data Annotator team members by connecting them with the appropriate resource if they need workplace accommodations, additional assistance with an HR matter, technical support or help on a project
  • Collaborate with the Data Annotation Manager on what skill sets your team members have and what projects best match those skills and experience for appropriate project staffing
  • Manage annual performance reviews for each member of your team members
  • Assist with onboarding of new Data Annotators

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Ability to take ownership, take initiative, problem solve and work independently
  • Ability to work with people with different and unique communication, learning and working styles in a people first culture
  • Ability to have difficult performance or behavioral improvement conversations with team members
  • Strong communication, presentation, collaboration and problem-solving skills
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Excell, PowerPoint and Word
  • Ability to work onsite Monday-Friday at the Falls Church, VA Enabled Intelligence Office
  • Eligibility to obtain a US security clearance

Desired Qualifications and Skills

  • Previous supervisory or people management experience
  • Previous experience training entry level employees
  • Previous experience working with people who are Neurodivergent
  • Pervious data annotation experience
  • Active US Security Clearance
  • Previous experience working with U.S. government programs or federal contracts

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer

Clearance

  • Applicants selected will be subject to a background investigation and will be required to meet eligibility to obtain a US security clearance.
