We are currently hiring a Retail Pharmacy Technician in Milwaukee, WI. This is a part-time position.

Summary
The Pharmacy Technician supports clinical pharmacists in ensuring the safe and effective use of medications by serving as a key liaison between patients, providers, pharmacies, and insurance companies. Working under the direct supervision of a pharmacist, the pharmacy technician plays an important role in delivering medication and pharmaceutical care in communities that are most in need. This includes developing close relationships with patients in communities we serve and assisting the pharmacists in accurately preparing and delivering prescription medication. The technician ensures compliance with PCHC policies, regulatory standards, and Wisconsin Pharmacy Examining Board requirements.
Responsibilities
Service - These duties focus on direct support, coordination, and navigation of health and community services to help patients access the care and resources they need.
  1. Always maintains friendly and helpful attitude when dealing with customers.
  2. Always maintains professional working relationships with the pharmacy personnel, physicians, nurses, and other medical personnel.
  3. Understands that the requirements of working in a pharmacy are varied and may change as demands on the department change.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • High school diploma or general education equivalent required
  • LPT - Licensed Pharmacy Tech Active: current pharmacy technician license in good standing in Wisconsin required
  • At least 2 years with retail pharmacy technician related experience, preferred
  • 340B experience preferred
  • Prior authorization review processes and Epic knowledge preferred
  • Basic computer skills and experience in data entry using Excel, Access or equivalent computer background.
