Job Description: Part Time Customer Experience Guide

Embarc seeks an enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and community-minded Customer Experience Guide to join our cannabis retail team. Embarc is an emerging cannabis retailer passionate about our community, customers, and people. What is the Job?

The Customer Experience Guide plays a key role in supporting all Customer Experience and Sales initiatives while ensuring smooth store and inventory operations. This role requires a passion for cannabis, exceptional customer service, and a strong understanding of compliance and product knowledge.


Core Responsibilities - Customer Experience

  • Engage with customers on the sales floor, answering questions and recommending products based on their needs and preferences.
  • Deliver an exceptional and educational customer experience in line with Embarc's brand standards.
  • Support store sales goals by promoting products and loyalty programs.
  • Communicate and execute sales and marketing initiatives as directed by management.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing sales floor that reflects Embarc's merchandising standards.
  • Participate in community engagement, field marketing, social media, and local events to represent the Embarc brand.
  • Provide feedback to management on customer needs, product trends, and opportunities for improvement.

Store Operations

  • Assist in daily store operations to ensure efficiency, compliance, and a positive environment.
  • Follow company policies, state regulations, and operational procedures accurately and consistently.
  • Report any facility issues promptly to ensure a safe and comfortable customer experience.
  • Safely lift and carry up to 35 lbs.

Inventory

  • Assist with inventory tasks, including intake, stocking, labeling, pricing, and transfers.
  • Support recurring audits, spot checks, and cycle counts to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Follow proper handling and storage procedures for all cannabis products.

What Skills We're Looking For

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with customers and teammates.
  • Passion for cannabis education and customer service.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to multitask effectively.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Familiarity with POS systems; experience with Treez POS is a plus.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Previous experience in retail, customer service, or hospitality.
  • Understanding of cannabis products, compliance, and regulations (training provided).
  • Experience working in a regulated or high-volume retail environment is a plus.

Expected Hours of Work

This is a part-time role. Approximately 25 hours per week.
