About this Job This posting is for a part-time position for a three (3) week program in Natchitoches and Sabine Valley. Salary - $50.00 per hour Days/Times: hours vary, day and/or night; as needed basis. www.bpcc.edu Minimum Qualifications At least five (5) years of construction industry experience. Knowledge of residential and/or commercial construction practices. Experience with NCCER Core curriculum is preferred

Excellent communication and instructional skills. Ability to work effectively with adult learners from diverse backgrounds. NCCER Instructor Certification or prior teaching experience is preferred but not required.

Other Requirements: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Ability to travel to various locations within Northwest Louisiana. Flexible schedule to accommodate training sessions at different times and locations.

Ability to pass a background check as required by Bossier Parish Community College. Physical Requirements: Must have use of sensory skills to effectively communicate and interact with other employees and the public through the use of the telephone and personal contact as normally defined by the ability to see, read, talk, hear, and handle or feel objects and controls. Must have physical capability to effectively use and operate various items of office equipment such as, but not limited to, personal computer, calculator, copier, and fax machine.

Capable of lifting and carrying equipment and materials up to 70 pounds. Dexterity to operate carpentry and other construction related equipment and tools in a safe and effective manner. Ability to stand for extended periods and perform hands-on demonstrations.

Job Specification Bossier Parish Community College (BPCC) is seeking a qualified Part-Time Introduction to Construction Bootcamp Instructor to teach a three (3)-week, hands-on training program designed to prepare students for entry-level careers in the construction industry. The instructor will deliver classroom instruction and practical lab activities covering construction safety, basic hand and power tools, construction math, NCCER Core curriculum, material identification, and foundational carpentry skills while promoting professionalism and workplace readiness.

Job Duties and Other Information Deliver engaging classroom and hands-on construction instruction. Teach the NCCER Core curriculum and reinforce industry best practices. Demonstrate the safe use of hand and power tools.

Reinforce OSHA safety practices and proper PPE usage. Evaluate student performance through skills demonstrations and assessments. Maintain a safe, organized, and professional learning environment.

Track attendance, student progress, and completion of required documentation. Mentor students and encourage positive work habits and employability skills.
