Job description

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Part-Time Floor Technician to join our facilities team. The Floor Technician is responsible for cleaning and maintaining various types of flooring, including tile, carpet, vinyl, concrete and hardwood, to ensure a clean, safe, and attractive environment. This role is ideal for individuals with a passion for floor care and a strong work ethic who are looking for part-time hours.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum floors using manual and powered equipment
  • Strip, wax, buff, and polish hard surface floors as needed
  • Extract and spot clean carpets using carpet cleaning machines
  • Maintain equipment and report any mechanical issues
  • Follow safety guidelines and use appropriate PPE at all times
  • Assist with general janitorial duties when required
  • Monitor and restock floor care supplies
  • Communicate any maintenance or safety issues to supervisors promptly
  • Follow established procedures and schedules for floor maintenance

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Valid Driverโ€™s License
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
