PART-TIME, NO BENEFITS

WEEKEND WORK ONLY

Saturday-Sunday 2:00pm-2:00am


JOB SUMMARY

The Technician I performs scheduled and unscheduled preventative maintenance and lubrication on industrial equipment, trucks, trailers, automobiles, facilities and any other assets belonging to the company. This position will also handle minor repairs or component replacement while performing quality inspections following the assigned checklist and guidelines.


CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when and where required.
  2. Report immediately any safety violations and correcting unsafe acts or conditions.
  3. Comply with company safety policies and with applicable state and federal regulations.
  4. May be required to drive a vehicle with a gross vehicle weight (GVW) not to exceed 26,000 pounds.
  5. Assist with maintenance repairs as directed by maintenance staff.
  6. Perform preventive maintenance tasks as directed by maintenance staff.
  7. Document repair operations and time tracking in accordance with company procedures.
  8. Learn basic mechanical techniques, torques, and procedures.
  9. Requisition parts as necessary.
  10. Conduct failure analyses and report findings to maintenance management.
  11. Wash trucks and equipment and keep shop areas cleaned.
  12. Take care of minor tasks as assigned such as changing light bulbs, wiper blades, and mud flaps.
  13. Attend all training session as scheduled for continuing education.
  14. Other duties as assigned.


REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must possess own basic tools or the ability to acquire tools upon hire
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Demonstrated aptitude for maintaining and repairing equipment
  • Ability to read labels, safety warnings, and guidelines
  • Ability to learn basic computer skills to communicate document daily work and progress, track procurements and repair status
  • Ability to pay attention to detail and remain alert to ensure safety
  • Ability to understand and follow instructions and to communicate with co-workers
  • Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced environment

PREFERRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

REQUIRED LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS

  • Valid Class C driver’s license
