Primary Function
Wor-Wic Community College continuously accepts applications for part-time credit faculty to teach courses in our Occupational and Emerging Technologies division, which includes Business, Criminal Justice, Hospitality Management, Office Technology and Technology departments.
Part-time instructors in this category teach courses that support many occupational and emerging technologies and transfer degree options for our students.
We are currently filling vacancies for:
  • Part-Time Accounting/Economics/Finance Faculty
  • Part-Time Business/Law/Marketing/Management Faculty
  • Part-Time Computer Studies/Information Technology/Networking/Programming/Web Development Faculty
  • Part-Time Criminal Justice/Forensic Science Faculty
  • Part-Time Culinary Faculty
  • Part-Time Hospitality Faculty

Essential Duties
The following list is not intended as, nor should it be construed as, exhaustive of all responsibilities, skills or working conditions associated with this position.
  • Creates and manages an environment conducive to the student's learning of credit course material
  • Prepares and uses course syllabi and recommends appropriate textbooks
  • Meets all scheduled learning experiences, including the final examination
  • Maintains student records
  • Submits copies of course syllabi, copies of tests and the telephone number and hours he or she may be contacted
  • Submits attendance rosters, midterm grades, final grades and other information to the vice president for enrollment management and student services within the established time frame each semester
  • Conducts assigned classes in accordance with the catalog descriptions and the stipulations of the department and the college
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the department head

Minimum Requirements
Requirements for education and experience will vary depending on the subject area. Applicants must meet all requirements set forth by the governing accreditation body. Generally, applicants should possess at least a bachelor's degree or substantial experience in their field of expertise.
Preference will be given to applicants who possess a relevant master's degree and can demonstrate prior teaching experience.
