Our outstanding teachers, support staff members and leaders are top-notch educators whom others seek to emulate, and quite simply - we would like for you to consider joining us.General Description:The TWA - Title I Compliance Support position reviews evidence that the Title I Coordinator and Title I Compliance Specialist have gathered in preparation for federal program monitoring and offers guidance and support in meeting federal compliance requirements.Job Description:Essential Job Functions:
  • Assists the Title I Coordinator and Title I Compliance Specialist in maintaining and monitoring all records required by federal legislation for compliance
  • Assists in the preparation of all program and fiscal monitoring and audit activities for Title I and Title I-associated requirements in Title II, III, McKinney-Vento, and Early Childhood/Virginia Preschool
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
Budgetary Responsibility:This position has no budgetary responsibilities.Report Preparation:May prepare related reports as requestedEquipment Operation:Standard office equipment, including computers, copiers, scanners, and fax machinesContacts:Title I Coordinator, Title I Compliance SpecialistWork Direction/Supervision:This position does not supervise or provide work direction to other positions.Decision Making:Will make decisions regarding which pieces of evidence are included in monitoring files.Formal Policy-Setting Responsibilities:This position has no formal policy-setting responsibilities.Physical Demands:Must have the ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time; exhibit manual dexterity to use a telephone, to enter data into a computer terminal; to see and read a computer screen and printed material with or without vision aids; hear, understand speech and speak in audible tones so that others may understand clearly at normal levels indoors and on the telephone. Physical agility to lift up to 25 lbs. bend, stoop, sit on the floor, climb stairs, walk and reach overhead.Work Environment:The employee regularly works in an office setting. The noise level is quiet to moderate.Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:Extensive knowledge of federal regulations and the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) legislation for Title I, II, III, and McKinney-Vento; of federal/state/local fiscal regulations and policies; and of the budget process and fiscal management. Demonstrated ability to listen and communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, and to monitor and evaluate effective practices.Additional Job Requirements:

Three to five years of experience working with Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) programs at the school division or state level.
