Position: Communications Coordinator
Reports to: Creative Director
Schedule: Part-time (20 hours)
  1. Monday through Wednesday 10:00am-5:00pm EST (30min break).
  2. Monday through Thursday 10:00am-3:00pm EST.

Overview: The Communications Coordinator is responsible for owning all written communication
and messaging campaigns across email, SMS, and service-based announcements. This
role ensures consistent voice, strategic timing, and clear calls-to-action that support
church events, departments, and ongoing spiritual formation initiatives.
This position collaborates closely with leadership, marketing, and ministry teams to plan,
write, and execute high-impact communication that informs, engages, and mobilizes the
church community.
Core Responsibilities
✦ Email Marketing & Campaign Strategy
• Own all email campaigns for major and minor church events
• Write and deploy department-requested emails as needed
• Strategize email campaign timelines in collaboration with marketing and leadership
• Manage ongoing recurring emails, including:
o Daily devotion emails
o Bi-weekly newsletters
✦ SMS Messaging & Campaign Strategy
• Write and schedule SMS campaigns as requested
• Strategize SMS timing and sequencing to support events and initiatives
• Ensure SMS messaging aligns with email campaigns and overall communication
strategy
✦ Script-writing & Service Communication
• Write weekly In the Loop scripts for all three campuses
• Curate and select weekly announcements for services
• Ensure service communication is concise, clear, and aligned with current initiatives✦ Podcast & Media Support
• Write weekly podcast titles optimized for clarity and engagement
• Write weekly podcast summaries
• Write summaries for new sermon series as they are launched
