About Us:
Code Ninjas Sudbury is part of a dynamic, fast-growing educational franchise that teaches kids ages 5 - 14 to code by building video games. We have a strong, dedicated team committed to making learning fun and engaging.
Position Overview:
We are looking for an After-School Youth Program Instructor to join our team. Our ideal candidate is passionate about technology and early childhood education, punctual, hard-working, dependable, good with kids, and possesses strong leadership qualities. This position is available starting now and all year round. This is a permanent, part time position, not a summer job.
Responsibilities:
  • Assess students areas for improvement, and note each student's strengths and needs
  • Track progress of each junior student during the lesson
  • Report to the Junior Program Coordinator to discuss problems, strategies and solutions
  • Communicate with parents about their child
  • Maintain and develop a clean classroom (dojo) for junior age students

Qualifications:
  • Proven work history with kids ages 5 to 9
  • Knowledge of teaching and learning assessment pedagogy is an asset
  • Must be organized and an excellent communicator
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Basic experience teaching stem preferred, but not required
  • Must be FUN and ENERGETIC
