Job Summary/Basic Function
The Camp Mentor will be responsible for the general safety of all participants in the group. This includes assisting instructors with activities as well as walking children to and from the next activity location.
Specific Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities & Duties
  • Supervision & Safety: Ensure the safety of campers at all times, including monitoring behavior, enforcing safety rules, and supervising during meals, activities, and pool time.
  • Activity Planning & Execution: Lead, create (as needed), and implement daily camp activities, games, arts, and crafts.
  • Camper Care: Act as a role model or mentor, addressing campers' social, emotional, and physical needs.
  • Daily Routines: Oversee the camp day schedule and activities, including the swimming pool.
  • Communication: Maintain open communication with camp staff, directors, and parents.
  • Emergency Management: Know and implement emergency procedures.

Work Schedule
Monday - Friday during the summer.
Scheduled times will vary but will not exceed 28 hours.
