Founded in 2015, the company serves a collection of seven world-class owned venues and a client roster of the most iconic arenas, stadiums, convention centers, music festivals, performing arts centers, and cultural institutions, spanning four continents.
Position Summary
Under the direction of the Director of Events and Security & Security Manager, the Event Security is responsible for maintaining the safety of the PPL Center, employees, patrons, and visitors. Event Security staff enforce all rules, regulations and policies of the PPL Center.
This role pays an hourly rate of $14.00 to $15.00

Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent service to all guests, staff, and visitors of PPL Center
  • Follow and enforce PPL Center policies, procedures, and code of conduct to protect the safety and well-being of all guests and the facility
  • Monitor entry and exit points to various areas of PPL Center, both public and back of house, having knowledge of all rules and regulations for admittance to your area and knowledge of authorized credentials
  • Screen employees, vendors, and guests and their personal property while properly operating and monitoring metal detectors, to include hand wand and contact searches as required or requested
  • Take proactive measures to maintain safe habits and standards
  • Investigate incidents as required, in such situations as injuries, property damage, theft/loss and misconduct
  • Quickly respond to any crowd control/management issues, break up physical altercations, provide escorts to unruly guests when ejections are warranted;
  • Aid in the orderly evacuation of PPL Center during emergencies
  • Provide security escorts when requested and/or required
  • Have knowledge of building layout, including restrooms and exits
  • Inform Supervisor of developing issues before they occur
  • Assist in seating discrepancies and clearing aisles
  • Be aware of all special functions or activities that occur in the arena
  • Write detailed reports to maintain accurate records in the event of further investigation or litigation in the future

Qualifications
  • Prior security experience preferred, but not required.
  • Able to work PPL Center events as assigned.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills in the English language required
  • Ability to work beyond traditional business hours, including nights, weekends and select holidays, is required
  • Must demonstrate strong attention to detail
  • Must demonstrate a positive, professional, and customer-focused attitude
